The restaurant serves cioppino, not sure if it's a special. You can always ask. We ordered it about two months ago.
As a restaurateur this is one of the best Italian restaurant in the city. You would love the caputo flour melting .Best pie in town.Fantastic authentic style Italian. Great Neighborhood Restaurant.
MoreI thought I’d never been to this restaurant but once we sat down I realized we had, and by the end thought to myself I had just removed it from memory because it wasn’t that memorable. Hasn’t changed since my first time trying. The food was bland and not reheated properly in some cases after being cooked on a different day. For example the meatballs accompanied my pasta where hot outside. but cold in the center. We powered through the meal because we were starving, otherwise we would have complained.
MoreFully committed on a Friday night & for good reason - this place was tasty! Had the caprese, beet salad, chicken parm - all were very good. Slightly pricey ($24 for the chicken, wine starts at ~$55) - but maybe that's just SF prices ☠ï¸Service was thoughtful & speedy. Our server was Marcelo - & he was amazing :)
MoreVery very loud. Hard to enjoy friends. Food was good
Went here for lunch today. Overall, decent Italian place. Service was meh- we had to ask for hot water with lemon 4 times before the waiter finally brought it. We started with the organic kale salad, which was average, nothing special. For entrees my friend got the porcini mushroom raviolis, which were good, but the order only comes with 6 raviolis on the plate. My grandma had the spaghetti with meatballs. They have gluten free pasta for gluten free guests. I don't eat meat, so they created a truffle cream sauce pasta, gluten free for me, which was very good. Portions aren't huge, so definitely recommend ordering a couple things if you're really hungry. Pictures of what we ordered below
MoreGreat pastas and pizzas. Wine list has good by the glass selection.
It was okay 3-4 stars. good vegetarian options and easy to get a table if you come early because no reservations. But have had better Italian food.
MoreFour of us went. Four of us thought it was excellent. We will absolutely go back!
MoreGreat waiter and delicious food....
Very friendly service. I tried the lasagna and profiteroles for desert and both were really tasty!
MoreDelicious food and great service. The food is fresh and prepared surprisingly quickly. The waiter and the staff are all very pleasant and helpful. I had the gnocchi, which was fantastic. It is perfectly prepared, I found the firmness to be ideal. I had it with a pink sauce, which is the Gorgonzola cream sauce and tomato sauce, and I really enjoyed it. As a side, I had the Pomadoro Bruschetta, which is very fresh and tasty.
MoreLively casual Italian spot. Hands on owner works the room and does his best to insure everyone has a good time. Good for families.
MoreAlways amazing! So so good. Everything has FLAVOR!
My favorite local restaurant. We’ve been coming here since they opened-for weekend brunch, happy hour, evening dinner...we are always greeted warmly by Vittorio and his staff. Niccolo has taken particularly amazing care of us over the years - he knows our preferences and often surprises us with delightful twists on the menu. I have some dietary challenges and they are so gracious about making delicious food that works for me - even if it’s different than what’s on the menu. I have never encountered a restaurant that is so consistent with its food, service, and connection with its customers. This is a true gem and not to be missed.
Moretwo days ago was our first time we visited this magnificent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We had a good time with the excellent service, with the great meal and wine and with the modest pay. We will no doubt visit there again.
MoreGood food, great atmosphere and friendly staff
It seemed loud and busy when we walked in, but our server was attentive and we were very pleased with the service. We were craving the basics and got the tomato basil soup and gnocchi with tomato sauce. Best gnocchi I have ever had! Soup was very good as well. Price is fair and will definitely be going back soon.
MoreBeautiful and spacious restaurant. There is a bit of outdoor seating for enjoying a glass a wine or dinner in the beautiful San Fran weather. Waiters were prompt and courteous and offered good suggestions on what to order being that it was my first time here. Service was incredible fast to be honest and I was thoroughly impressed. Typical Italian food such as pastas, pizzas and a few entries are offered here but with their own signaute spin of course. Wine menu was very extensive with some of the best wines in the region being offered. Overall a very pleasant experience.
MoreGood service, tasty food. Southern Italian style.
Went here for pizza. They make the crust in front of you which is amazing, however the toppings were not that good and the pizza didn't have enough cheese. For the money we paid I was expecting more
MoreFood and service excellent. Pizzas like you get in Italy.
Dog friendly with only a few outdoor tables. Everything overall is good. The meatballs were a bit too lean for me but the flavor was good. We both like how thin the pizza crust was, reminds us of NY pizza. But the middle part was a bit soggy. We got chocolate souffle but it was more like a chocolate lava cake, which we didn't mind, it was good, not too sweet.
MoreMeh. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs- there was barely any sauce and it was very watery- very disappointed. Had a few meatballs on the plate that had a very mediocre texture and taste. What a letdown. I won't return.
MoreExcellent food. Attentive service. Generous portions.
I admire this spot! They offer great food, their menu is decent, The chef in that spot is well trained, I like very much tasting all their dishes. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the clients is agreeable. I frequently visit this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend it with no hesitation.
MoreDelicious Italian restaurant with very friendly staff and authentic Italian cuisine.
MorePrices were 20-50% higher than on the website. Food was good but my party of four brought just enough cash to cover the bill. Service was excellent but we were unable to order beverages, appetizers, or desserts because of the prices
MoreDelicious flavorful food! Wonderful service!
I had the special Crab Cioppino. It was loaded with crab, clams, mussels, cala5, shrimp, and salmon with a rich tomato broth. It is the best I have had.Service was excellent.
MoreDelicious food ! But if you sit outside the waiters kind of forget about you.
Great find! Broad menu. Gluten-free pasta. Super friendly staff. Food was amazing! Would love to come back!
MoreGreat Italian food with unique pasta dishes. Super cute decor, very rustic. Recommend the handmade stuffed pasta with pear in it! Decent number of vegetarian options. Not too expensive for Italian food in SF!
MoreI tried fiochetti and my husband lasagna. Profiterole for dessert. Everything was delicious! I really recommend!
MoreTasty vittles. Nice owner & staff. A very pleasant eatery.
This is our celebration spot. Nicolas is our goto waiter. The food is always amazing, the service is prompt and with a welcoming smile. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a 5 star experience.
MoreVittorio just catered my sister's wedding this past weekend and it was amazing!! Vittorio is so kind and willing to go above and beyond. He took care of organizing all of the rentals needed, brought at least 10 servers with him and bartenders and the food was amazing! My sister chose to do everything served family style and everything came out hot and was refilled promptly! He's willing to work with you on whatever you need and is very reasonably priced. It put my sister greatly at ease to know there was one less thing for her to worry about and Vittorio had things taken care of. His servers were so professional and a glass was never left empty. I couldn't recommend him and his catering services enough!
MoreWe are from out of town AZ & first time diner group of 11. Over the top customer service by the whole staff & especially "Niccolo!" 👠5â Authentic delicious homemade pasta.
MoreGood food. Good service. You can bring your pet outside sitting. Pizza was really good. Good burrata.
MoreCame here after work, didn't have any appetizer. Had the suppa of the day minestrone, the hubby had the meat trio, mash potatoes and broccolini, I had the veal scallopini, mushroom masala, mash potato and veggies after that we had the limoncello cake! YUM😋😋 and Mamma Tiramisu and Cappuccino 😋😋😋😋😋 magnifico!!! The waiter was great and funny!!
MoreWe can always count on gooood pasta here. Try the calamari. All pizzas and wine choices are excellent.
MoreThis is the second time I have been here. Decided to give it another try since I had such a terrible service experience the first time I went. The first time I was here the service was terrible from my waiter. The bus boy was very nice and friendly and did most of the service for our table yet our server was the one who was expected to get the tip...This time I came and it was the same deal. I was seated, there was no introduction by the waiter, the bus boy gave us the water. I was not asked if I wanted any beverages. The menus came 7 minutes after being seated. Then the waiter came and did not bring up the specials until we asked. Did not ask if we had any questions. Was very cold with us. Will not be returning.
MoreVery good food at mostly reasonable prices (around $20 a person for most entrees after tip). Very friendly and inviting staff as well!
MoreWe went as a group of ten during lunch hours. The restaurant was at full occupancy. We had to wait for a while even thought we had a reservation. They severed bread and olive oil at the beginning. The food was okay. They messed up half of our tables order. I guess they were just really really busy. We were celebrating two peoples birthdays so they did get us complimentary dessert at the end.Overall, I think it’s a little overpriced! Also they mentioned the lunch specials outside the restaurant on a chalk board but didn’t give us any menu card mentioning those special inside the restaurant!
MoreLasagna is incredible -- definitely focus on ordering the pasta if you come here. Egg, mushroom, and sausage pizza was tasty but the mushrooms were a little rubbery. Bread was just okay. Appreciated the service and the ambience, and prices were super reasonable given that the proportions were gigantic. I would definitely return.
MoreCertainly a place worth stopping by, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the costs are fair and it is regularly well kept here. Highly recommended.
MoreWe found this place on Google maps and walked in expecting just a basic Italian restaurant and there's nothing basic about this restaurant it is absolutely authentic and delicious.
MoreAbsolutely delicious.I loved the handmade porcini ravioli with heavenly truffle cream sauce.
MoreI had an excellent in this spot. We liked the superb ambience and the meals. The waiters were very personal. I am happy we finally managed to try this place.
MoreMy favorite Italian restaurant in SF. Everything is made from scratch. Great wine list.
MoreOk food and service.
